MANDEM has been awarded an individual artist grant from the Ohio Arts Council.
The Ohio Arts Council is a state agency that funds and supports quality arts experiences to strengthen Ohio communities culturally, educationally, and economically.
The funding will be used to continue work on the “Hypermobility” painting series, which has exhibited in Italy, England, and the U.S.
The Ohio Arts Council panel described MANDEM’s work beautiful and prolific, having earned international attention while depicting a difficult subject matter.
In-progress work from the “Hypermobility” series is on display at Negative Space Gallery in Cleveland, Ohio, where MANDEM is currently artist-in-residence in a public studio.
