MANDEM is a multi-generational artist triad, fronted by M. Arendsee.  Our collaborative, media-fluid work is simultaneously disruptive and beautiful.  Recurring themes in our work include disability poetics, the visceral body, gender, childhood, art history, and mythology. 

Our radically interdisciplinary studio practice remixes elements from photography, classical painting, printmaking, soft sculpture, film, and academic research.  At the core, MANDEM is a metamodernist, gleefully stealing from (and queering) the aesthetics of both post- and pre-modernism.
